What: FDOT’s real-time statewide traveler-information map — lane closures, construction zones with detours, incidents, live cameras, message signs, plus a dedicated Tampa Bay region view. Why: knowing what’s closed or torn up right now protects your field time and your data quality. When: before scheduling counts or field reviews (is the corridor under MOT?), and as QC — checking whether a count or crash period was contaminated by a work zone or major incident.
No login for the map. Camera feeds are live-only, not archived — if an image matters, screenshot it and date the screenshot on the figure.
Warning
A count taken during an active closure or detour is not “existing conditions.” If FL511 shows work on or near your corridor during the count window, flag it in the methodology and recount if it drove the numbers.
